A collection of recent projects from games academic Ben Kirman.
I design games and playful interventions that explore the edges of technology, culture and sensibility. I'm interested in unusual applications of game design to create exciting and unique social experiences. I'm particularly curious about exploring the use of technology in ways that are critical, irreverent and, most importantly, fun.
As an academic, I do quantitative and qualitative research into games and playful technology, and publish extensively in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction, Game Studies and Entertainment Technology. In addition, my work has often been covered by traditional media, including the BBC, New Scientist, Wired, The Guardian, Metro, the New York Times, and many more.
I'm always interested in possible collaborations, please get in touch.
