What is this?
This is a simple tool for players of the Leader series of solitaire wargames by DVG. One of the popular optional rules in these games is "Random Squadron Selection", however as the titles have grown in scale, the complexity of organising and shuffling so many possible cards becomes a lot of work. This tool does that for you.
Answer a series of questions, and the site will generate an appropriate squadron for you, based on the expansions you own, the campaign year, the choice of forces (e.g. Navy/Air Force) and the length of campaign.
You can also choose to filter specific aircraft out, and reroll individual results at the end to your preference, to balance aircraft roles, or to fit your SO budget.
Squadrons generated with "Aces" expansions selected use the Eagle Leader selection mechanism - replacing 1/2/3 Average pilots.
Report any errors (incorrect/missing pilots, bugs) either in this BGG thread or on Github.
This tool is intentionally very simple - it only handles the squadron selection and not other optional rules, skills etc. If you would like something more complex I suggest looking at FragDaddy's Squad Randomizer tool for Windows or Clayton Oliver's fun and thematic online tool for Eagle/Hornet Leader
